Funding Options for Private Occupational Therapy Services:

Extended Health Benefits/Private Insurance

• Many insurance plans cover occupational therapy. Contact your insurance provider to check your child’s eligibility

Ontario Autism Program 

• One-time funding for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder

Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity

• For children with physical disabilities or severe medical illness
• Funding for therapies, including occupational therapy (once per 12 month period)

Passport Program

• Funding for adults (18+) with developmental disabilities
• Can be used for programs, classes and supports that help develop independence, social and life skills
